Maintaining Your Vibratory Conveyors
With a few maintenance tasks, you can ensure your vibratory conveyor will maintain its optimal performance. Because vibratory conveyors have few moving parts, they are easier to maintain than other conveyors, such as belt conveyors, which require more spare parts.
In addition, the parts should be visually checked for any apparent problems or significant accumulation of debris. After the production line has run its course, make sure that conveyor does not have leftover substance on it. Any residual leftover may affect the operation of the conveyor or even cause contamination. When washing down the conveyor, start with the door of the control panel which must be closed.
Leaf Springs are very important to the optimal running of the conveyor and, therefore, should always be in good condition. Maintenance teams must check the leaf springs frequently to look for signs of wear, breaks, splits, or even misalignment. It is recommended to replace leaf springs in pairs because if only one is changed, the conveyor may be left with different heights.
We hold a stock of all replacement vibratory conveyor parts, and quick delivery and on-site engineers are available. We can also offer fully comprehensive on-site survey service where our engineer will visit your site, inspect all conveyors that are in use and replace any damaged components.
Keeping the stroke and amplitude the same as the design specifications is critical. Any changes should be promptly addressed to ensure the system operates within its intended parameters, as each piece of machinery is custom-made. Changing the use of the conveyor may result in issues.
The tray must be inspected for cracks, wear, or damage to maintain integrity. If structural integrity is compromised, reinforcement may be required to restore the pan’s stiffness and ensure optimal performance, or the tray may need to be replaced. This is uncommon and is usually due to the setting being changed on-site from the original specifications.
Maintaining detailed records of these inspections and adjustments facilitates trend analysis and proactive maintenance planning. Our new touchscreen control panel records any changes in amplitude or settings to make it easy to maintain records of use.
